Be Yourself Card

Graphic 45 Perfect Plum Mojo 04

Hello, friends!  I’m just popping in very quickly to share this “Be Yourself” card that I made for this week’s Dynamic Duos #68 and Mojo Monday #309.  I’m slipping in just under the wire with the Dynamic Duos card; the contest ends today at noon PST.  But it was a fun color theme this week: Perfect Plum plus your choice of colors. And the Mojo Monday sketch is always a delight to work with.  Here’s what I had to work with:

And here’s what I did with it:

Graphic 45 Perfect Plum Mojo 05  I changed the Mojo sketch up just a little, using a square image in the center and running my fishtail banner along the bottom.  These images are all from Graphic 45’s A Place in Time Collection, which I love for its versatility.

Graphic 45 Perfect Plum Mojo 07  As you can see, I chose to pair my Perfect Plum with Always Artichoke.  I love purples and greens together.  The sentiment is from a Fiskars stamp set.  The distressed font goes really well with these images.

Graphic 45 Perfect Plum Mojo 09  I carried the color theme and elements of the sketch onto the inside of the card.  The sentiment is a little verse I wrote, and the flower is a Graphic 45 chipboard embellishment .

……and line the interior as well.  Graphic 45 Perfect Plum Mojo 02

I added a few Diamond Stickles to glam it up, as well as a couple of little fishtail banners and flags.  The shabby bow was died with Milled Lavendar, Antique Linen and Peeled paint distress ink.  The stick pins are from Petaloo.  Graphic 45 Perfect Plum Mojo 08  And that’s it for me today, folks!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog.  If you have any questions about today’s card, just ask.  I’m always more than happy to help.  And thanks for your lovely comments.  They make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!  Until next time….

Cheerio,

kathy
