Good Morning, my friends! I’m popping in today to share a vintage treasure made with the new digital Birds and Blossoms Creative Scraps. This has always been one of my very favorite printables from Crafty Secrets so I was excited to get a chance to work it up into a Birds and Blossoms Birthday Card.
The base of this 6″ x6″ side fold card was embossed and sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I then sized and printed the gorgeous Roses and Music background from the digital Garden Papers Sandy offers in the shop. I inked up a bit of a doily and added that to the center. Then, the edges of the panel were heavily distressed and inked before I added Champagne Silky Crush Ribbon, a bit of vintage lace and the sweet green bows. I cropped out the images I wanted to use, sized them and then printed them out onto a medium weight natural cardstock. Diamond Stickles, Glossy Accent and Vintage Photo ink were used to enhance the images and then they were mounted with foam tape. I made the sweet little flower and butterfly from paper, then die cut a ticket from the Birds and Blossoms Vintage Scraps as well. It’s a simple design that came together quickly.
The inside of the card uses the same Roses and Music paper turned upside down. I stamped the sentiment from the acrylic version of the Card Sentiments stamp set, which has been discontinued. BUT….good news! You can still get these wonderful sentiments in a digital file. Hooray!
I made a custom envelope to match:
I love to wake up early in the morning and listen to all the birds greet the day. Their beautiful songs fill the air and it’s as though they are celebrating another day to be alive. It’s a good reminder to me to start the day with a thankful, happy spirit.
Thanks for stopping by today. Your visits and your comments make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!
