Really Reasonable Ribbon May 2018 Blog Hop: Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! And Happy Mother’s Day! Welcome to the May 2018 Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop! You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog. With the summer holidays fast approaching, it’s perfect timing to share this Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card with you. It’s adorned with ribbons from the Red White and Blue Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card
I decided to go bold, bright and festive on this red white and blue patriotic greeting card. Handmade rosettes, red white and blue buttons and fussy cut letters make this card ready to party! (The papers are from Authentique’s United Collection.)
I’ve complemented the papers with this bold and beautiful double layer bow tied with Red Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and Royal Blue Crosshatch Satin.
The bow cluster is topped with WOC Red Cottage Roses. I’ve also tucked in some White with Red Center Sweetheart Blossoms . There are a couple of blue Sweetheart Blossoms peeping out, too.
Red White and Blue Patriotic Greeting Card: A Peek Inside
There’s a party going on inside this card!
I topped this digital tag image with Crosshatch on Red Satin Ribbon. Then I added a simple square knot bow tied with Patriotic Candy Hearts Grosgrain Ribbon to finish it off.
I’m really thankful for all the family members, friends and strangers who have served in the military so that we can all live free. This is me, saying a heartfelt thank you to each of you, wherever you are. I appreciate you!

God Bless America Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon May Blog Hop
Hello Ribbon Lovers! It’s May 13th, and that means it’s time for another fabulous Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop. You should be coming here from Karen’s lovely blog. If you get off track, go back to the RRR BLOG where you’ll find a complete list for the hop. We are heading right into the summer holidays, so it’s time to break out the red, white and blue ribbons from the May Patriotic Ribbon Club assortment and get your craft on. I’ve made this God Bless America card using every single ribbon in the assortment.
I don’t know what it is about combining red, white and blue, but it sure works! Here’s a look at the ribbons in this month’s club.
United We Stand
This 5″ x 7″ top fold card is made with Authentique’s brand new “United” paper collection. I layered some of these fabulous ribbons to create a belly band for my card. Ribbon is a great way to create a quick border, and as you can see, I did that on the base of this card front. I also created a fun paper clip embellishment with a snippet of ribbon and a metal button.
Now, let’s talk about the bow! I tied two colors of ribbon at the same time on my Bow-it-All tool. Then I topped the bow with a flashy red flower and a star shaped stick pin.
True Blue Through and Through
The inside of the card has another belly band and a double pocket that contains a stack of little journal cards. These can hold photos, or be used as bookmarks, or for journaling.
Raise your hand if you had to memorize the Pledge of Allegiance when you were in school. Do they still do that? We started with the Pledge every single morning, and I love that Authentique included it in this collection. I also tucked a little chocolate treat inside the belly band.
Now hop on over and see what Cherry has cooked up with this fabulous ribbon assortment. And be sure to visit the RRR Blog and let Bonnie know that you completed the hop so you can be entered to win your very own Patriotic Ribbon Club Assortment.
