HC Blue Card 01aCelebrating Friendship on Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Hello, Friends! Today, I’m celebrating friendship on Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  I have a handful of “true friends” that mean the world to me.  These are the girls I can call in the midst of a crisis, and I know they’ll be by my side in no time.  They’re the people I can share my joys and triumphs with, and they’ll celebrate along with me.  And when I’m facing an obstacle in my life, these women are the ones who will cheer me on to victory. We may not talk for weeks on end, but when we do get together, we pick right up where we left off.  I don’t have to explain myself, because these ladies know everything about me and love me anyway!  Nothing in this world is more precious than a true friend!  And that’s what I had in mind when I made this card using the Cut, Mat, Create Collection from Heartfelt Creations.

HC Blue Card 01aAs a card maker, I so appreciate how easy it is to create perfectly matted layers with Cut, Mat, Create.  This card took only 30 minutes to make, and that includes hatching the idea, gathering the materials and tying that gorgeous Delicate Stitched Satin bow from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Here’s a peeky at the inside:

HC Blue Card 02aYou’ll find a complete list of supplies and detailed tutorial below the signature portion of this blog.

I’m so glad you stopped by today.  Take a minute to be thankful for the true friends in your life, and join me in celebrating friendship on Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.

Until next time…

Create a 5″ x 7″ top fold card base from white cardstock. Select the card front from the paper collection and use the coordinating die from HCD 750 to cut out the center art portion. Stamp the bird on a branch from Vines and Blooms with Ranger Cobalt Archival Ink and quickly heat emboss with Wow Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Powder. Sponge the white areas lightly with Vintage Photo and Faded Jeans. Cut the navy mat with the matching die from HCD 749 and glue the stamped panel down. Cut the art work from the cut apart page, stamp with the sentiment and mat with navy cardstock.
Glue the card frame to the card base and add bling on a roll to either side. Use foam dots to adhere the stamped panel. Cut out a ticket from scrap paper using HCD 745. Cut in half and tuck under the sentiment panel. Glue the sentiment panel in the lower right corner as shown. Add double bow tied with Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon. Thread the button and secure the bow and button with a hot glue gun. Add Diamond Stickles to the flower centers.
For the interior, cut a 6 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ panel of blue paper from the collection. Hand write the sentiment on white paper. Die cut with HCD 749. Cut another piece from navy cardstock and mat. Stamp the bird on a branch with white pigment ink. Heat emboss with superfine white embossing powder. Cut out the tiny stamp from the paper collection, mat with navy cardstock and glue down.
