Christmas Collection Chunky Mini Album

 Christmas Collection Chunky Mini Album

Good morning, and welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  I am so excited about today’s project, as it features the reveal for our  brand new, glorious Christmas Collection.  Here’s a little information from Emma Lou, the creative director at Heartfelt Creations:

“We are pleased to present the Christmas Card Collection. The Christmas Card paper pad has 76 card fronts that will enable you to create quick and easy Christmas cards that are embellished or simple- you pick! This paper pack is a fantastic solution for getting the most beautiful cards for the least amount of time. If you don’t need one side, flip it over and use the other side! The coloring is done for you. There are many panels for utmost variety and the best  selection. The stamps and dies released with this collection are absolutely festive and ornamental. The gorgeous type and frames will help you create the most beautiful Christmas project your friends have ever seen!”

I loved working with this wonderful collection.  It gives you so many options!  You can do a quick and easy card just by using the card fronts included in the paper pack, or you can “dress them up” by adding dies, stamps and embellishments.  Be sure to leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations Blog so that your name will be included in the monthly giveaway for the entire collection!   Now, without further ado, here’s a peek at my Christmas Collection Chunky Mini Album:

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album16I designed this album to be used in several different ways.    All the pages are chipboard, so I like how sturdy it is.  I put the album together with a blank page on the left hand side of each leaf, and a decorated right hand page.  My thinking was that the blank page could be a place to insert photos, or favorite holiday recipes or even serve as a place to record special holiday memories.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album04 Here’s the first page of the album.  If you click on the photo, you should be able to tell that I added a fair bit of detail to the adorable snowman image.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album05Isn’t he cute?

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album10 I alternated red and green paper on the left hand side.  The stamps in this set are so fun to work with, and very versatile.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album07 The many Christmas images and greetings can quickly be made up into card fronts, or pages in a mini album.  I love the options this gives me!

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album08  The holly stamps and dies are wonderful to work with, too.  No fussy cutting required: you just stamp the leaves on your paper of choice, and then cut out with the dies.  Such a time saver!

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album11 The vintage colors in the papers are gorgeous.  Stamping in white adds to the vintage feel.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album09 Look at these beautiful holly vines.  I cut mine from green glitter paper.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album13 These fancy lattice dies are also incredibly versatile.  I’ve made snowflakes with them, of course, but they can also be used to make 3-D ornaments.  Here, I’ve used them as a sort of hinge on my page.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album12 Here’s another peek at one of the beautiful vintage images from the collection.  I’ve framed it with the holly vines.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album06  This is probably my favorite page!  I used the tiny tags from the paper pad, mounted them on burlap and turned them into mini banners.

Here’s a look at the album from the side:

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album15 I apologize for the glare. I did a cracked glass technique on the focal image, and it was difficult to photograph. The album measures 5 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ so it’s a nice size for photos or recipe cards.

Heartfelt Creations August Mini Album14  So, have you started your Christmas cards yet?  It’s never too early, and with this wonderful collection, it will never be easier.  Be sure to see what the other designers have created.  I am amazed by the beauty and variety on the blog today.  And don’t forget to leave a comment here for your chance to win the entire collection.  You’ll find detailed instructions and a complete list of the supplies needed to make today’s project.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you were inspired.  And thanks for all your kind comments…you know that hearing from you makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!

Until next time,

Cheerio,

kathy

Love this beautiful mini album! It would make a great gift for someone filled with favorite holiday recipes, or a fun keepsake to scrapbook some favorite pictures from a family holiday gathering, especially once a family has spread out and the gatherings are less frequent than when all lived at home. You did a lovely job with it. Love that personable snowman, too!
