Crafty Secrets Baby Girl Card

CS Baby Girl Card 04Crafty Secrets Baby Girl Card

Hello, Friends!  TGIF!!!  I hope you have had a good week!  I’ve had a busy, happy week with lots and lots of time in the studio.  I’m popping in today to share this sweet Crafty Secrets baby girl card that I made with a great kit that Sandy has put together.  I used the digital Radiant Paper collection to print out my background paper and then topped it with the sweetest little baby image and poem from this Baby Girl Set .  The kit is so beautiful, and an amazing deal, too.  Here’s a look:

As you will see, every bit of the papers and images in this kit can be put to good use.  And, it comes with a tiny little stamp set, which you can see pictured in the center.

I began by creating a 5″ x 7″ side fold card.  I covered it with a piece of soft pink cardstock, then I pieced together the beautiful pink and white striped paper from the Radiant collection and a scrap of white embossed cardstock.  I stitched around the perimeter and then cut out and matted my images on the same soft pink cardstock.

Now, little girls love sparkle, so I wanted to start this baby girl out right in the world by adding Coral Rose Shimmer Satin Ribbon and two strips of Beatrice Crochet Lace along the section where I joined my papers.   Before adding my focal image, I stamped some baby girl images on the card front.   I then tied a bow with the shimmer satin, topped it with Iridescent White Metallic String and a button.  (All from Really Reasonable Ribbon.)

CS Baby Girl Card 02I just love the banners in the top left hand corner! They were cut from the paper in the kit that the images are printed on.  Sandy has backed the focal images with dozens of precious words and phrases about baby girls that are just too sweet not to use.  Here’s a close up so you can see what I am talking about.

CS Baby Girl Card 06I just trimmed the corners and edges and used them to make the banners.  I topped each banner with a Sweetheart Blossom in baby pink…of course!

I lined the envelope, too.

The inside of the card is simple, and leaves plenty of room to write a personal note.

CS Baby Girl Card 05This card was quick and easy to make, which is always nice!  There is a matching kit for baby boys that is equally adorable.  But since these items are on clearance, once they are gone, they are gone!  I hope I bought enough to last me a while!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you were inspired by this pretty in pink baby card. If so, then I’m happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!

Cheerio,

kathy
