Crafty Secrets Post Cards
Hello, Friends! Do you hear what I hear? Yep. That’s the sound of the Christmas Countdown clock ticking away the minutes til Christmas. I am soooooo not ready on the one hand, and then on the other hand, every day has felt like Christmas to me since Dale survived his open heart surgery in November. Having him by my side is all the Christmas I need! I tell him he’s the tree, the packages and the Christmas treats all wrapped up in one handsome package! But I digress….I’m here today to share a super quick and easy Christmas card that’s perfect for last minute card makers… You know who you are! And this year, I’m the captain of that particular team! I used the Crafty Secrets Post Cards printables from my very favorite Creating with Vintage Christmas CD. I added images from Merry Christmas Creative Scraps to complete this quick and easy card. Using my design, you can have this done in 20 minutes or less…and no stamping required!
I used lots of pieces of paper from my scrap drawer on this card. The striped paper is left over from last year. The music paper is a bit I had left over from creating my Christmas Memories mini book. The post card was already printed. I love Crafty Secrets post cards! There are four of them on the CD, but really it’s more like 8 of them because you get 4 fronts and 4 backs. You can print front and back if you want, or you can print them to use as I did here. Talk about an easy background. I stitched it with my “messy stitching” technique, backed it with some sweet vintage crochet lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon and then inked the edges. The banner flag is made from scraps and stitched. I simply cut out the focal image and glued it down.
The poinsettia is cut from burgundy suede paper, and I added a little bling to the center. The red gingham bow is a scrap piece (also from RRR) and left over from another project. It was just long enough to make the bow for this sweet card.
I decorated the envelope, using the Santa stamp from Season’s Greetings Clear Art Stamps. I just checked, and it is no longer available in stamp form. but you can now get the entire set as a digital download. How fun!
Finally, here’s a peek at the inside of the card.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I’m wondering, have you created with these great vintage Crafty Secrets Post Cards? I’ve done several things with them this year. They certainly let you put together a great looking card in no time. Let me know what you think. Hearing from you makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers.
Until next time,
