Crafty Secrets Summertime Printables

Crafty Secrets Summertime Printables

Hello, my friends!  Wow, has this been a busy week!  I always look forward to summertime, and then when it gets here, it seems the days just vanish into thin air.  It’s hard to find the time to do everything that needs to be done, let alone make cards.  But our family is filled with summertime birthdays and special events, so card making is a must around here.  When I am short on time, I love to use printed images.  And right now, my favorite printed images are on the Crafty Secrets Summer Printable Sheet.  I have them in digital form, so I can size them however large or small I want them to be, and they are so pretty, I find I am really inspired while working with them.  Here’s a pretty vintage phlox card I made using them.

CS Vintage Phlox card 01This 7″ x 5″ top fold card has a kraft base, and uses digital papers  and ephemera from the Creating with Vintage Typography CD. I stitched around the base layer, then added a strip of 2.5″ wide Vintage Travel Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I topped this with Tim’s die cut weathered clock, a scrap of vintage lace, Iridescent White Metallic String and a pretty red rose. The phlox image was inked and coated with Rock Candy Distress Paint to give it a wonderful aged look.

CS Vintage Phlox card 02This quote is also on the Summer Printables page.  I sized it to fit my kraft label, which was heat embossed with Aged Gold.  This whole card has a wonderful aged, vintage vibe that I just love!

CS Vintage Phlox card 03I decorated the interior with some Crafty Secrets paper that was in my scrap drawer.  It matched the color palette, so I figured, why not?

The Digital Summer Printables are available this month as a FREE download with your purchase in the online store.  Sandy has some great sales going on right now, so you might want to take a peek!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

Kathy – This is such a pretty card, so full of details and love! The images are beautiful – I’m always ready for seed packets and I love the sentiments both inside and out. Your work is always a pleasure to view!

I have downloaded the summertime clipart several times, but cannot resize or take just one part of it. What am I doing wrong? It always downloads as an entire picture and stays that way. I am not understanding it I guess.

Just beautiful Kathy! I too LOVE this printable sheet but my cards look kind of plain in comparison to yours … looks like I’d better ‘kick it up a notch!’ LOL Hugs!
