More Crafty Secrets Vintage Easter Postcards
Good morning, Friends! We are just a few short weeks away from Easter, so I thought I would share another card made with the adorable Crafty Secrets Vintage Easter Postcards. I love these sweet chicks all decked out in their Easter bonnets. Do you think they are headed to an egg hunt? You never know!
I created this 5″ x 7″ side fold card by re-sizing the post card images so that all four fronts would fit on one 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of paper. Here’s what they look like:
I never know which I like more: the fronts or the backs! On this card, I tore one of the post card backs in half lengthwise and added it above and below the main image.
I used some vintage lace to create the rosette, then added a strip of blue silk ribbon, bright blue silk flowers, a vintage button and a crochet thread bow. I also tucked in that perky little chick at the top of the card. It came from Spring Joys Heartwarming Vintage Stickers. These are on sale in the Crafty Secrets online store. Each 6″ x 12″ sheet of cardstock stickers contains 29 images and is on sale for $1.25. I think you could easily use these to decorated colored Easter eggs.
The inside of the card continues the yellow and blue chickies theme, with another torn post card back, another sticker and a scrap of paper from my scrap drawer. A quick and easy card, but still festive!
Our weather here has finally begun to warm up and I’m spotting more flowers every day. The Bradford pears are fully in bloom and they are just magnificent. They always make me think of a bride on her way down the altar. What’s your favorite Spring blossom?
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I love sharing my ideas with you, and when I read your lovely comments, it makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!
