Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! As I was loading up this project, I realized that this is my 100th blog post…so I’m very happy that the subject is dear to my heart. For today’s post, I did something I rarely do; a created a scrapbook layout featuring my precious granddaughter, Sophie at her first dance recital.
Sophie Grace was almost 4 years old when her mommy took this sweet photo of her just before her first dance recital. Can I just tell you, I love this little gal to bits and pieces? She is a very thoughtful and sensitive child…and she also has a great sense of humor. She loves working in the studio with her “Nan” as she calls me. And I love it, too!
I truly love the Sun Kissed Fleur Die! Handmaking all those flowers went so quickly because I was able to die cut 10 flowers at one time. And the Decorative Lattice Swirl Die made a great frame for the focal image. All the details and directions can be found on the Heartfelt Creations blog along with loads of beautiful projects from the other HC designers. You can find links to their blogs in the sidebar.
A couple of fun details to point out:
Here, I fussy cut one of the sweet journal cards from the Daphne paper collection to create the title for the page. I backed it with some pleated tulle. The little ballet shoes are treated to some glittery embossing powder.
Thanks for joining me today for my 100th blog post. I am having such a good time sharing my ideas and projects with you, and you encourage me more than you know with your kind comments. They make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers. Until next time,
