Heartfelt Creations Wednesday: Die Cut Christmas Snowflake Card

Welcome to another edition of Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, friends!  This week I have another Christmas card made for you using the magnificent Christmas Card Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  If you’ve been dreaming about owning these beautiful stamps, dies and papers, I want to make sure you know that it’s a limited edition, and only available for purchase through September 6th…which is Friday. Today’s card was made using the very versatile Ornamental Add On Die.  I used the feather-like element to create a die cut Christmas snowflake card. I call it “A Blessed Christmas”.  Let’s take a closer look.

Divine Die Cuts

I loved creating with this wonderful set of dies.  I used them as hinges on mini albums, as decorative elements and swirls on cards, and on “A Blessed Christmas” I turned them into a very glittery die cut Christmas snowflake card:

Heartfelt Creations August 2013 03  The great news is that it was easy as pie to do. I simply die cut the individual pieces from glitter cardstock and then arranged them in a circular pattern on my background paper.  The poinsettia was die cut from vellum, inked while it was still in the die and then heat embossed.  To me, it looks like a poinsettia snowflake.

Heartfelt Creations August 2013 01 It was hard to capture all the glitter and glam of this 6×6″ card with a camera lens…but I think you can pick up a bit of that glitter embossed lace stamp at the base of the card here.

Heartfelt Creations August 2013 04 For me, this corner bow and rhinestones complete the card. I really love the font on the sentiment tag, which was cut from the paper collection.

Heartfelt Creations August 2013 05 The interior of the card features another journaling tag and that sweet little bird from the Christmas Song PreCut Collection.

Are You Getting Ready?

I’m curious to know….have you made a start on your Christmas cards yet?  This year has gone by so quickly, I’m having to remind myself that the holiday season will be upon us before I know it.  When do you usually start your cards…and how many do you make?  Last year, I made nearly 100 Christmas cards.  So, you can see why I have to get an early start! (If you get this die cut Christmas snowflake card in the mail from me, try to act surprised.  LOL)

If you pay a visit to the Heartfelt Creations blog today, you’ll find detailed instructions and a complete supply list for making this card.  You’ll also be treated to a wonderful selection Christmas cards, all occasion cards, altered art and home decor.  You might also find a little sneaky peek of the September release…which comes out next week!  Be sure to visit the other designers’ blogs; you’ll find links to their individual sites in the sidebar on the right.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project.  Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by the blog, and thanks in advance for taking the time to leave a comment.  I’m like a little kid….reading each comment is like opening a Christmas present…and it makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers.  Until next time…

Cheerio,

kathy

OMG, this is such a stunningly beautiful card. I love it! Fabulous work! I’ve not started on Christmas cards – am shamefully behind still on August birthday cards and gifts.

Absolutely gorgeous! The glitter does show but I’m sure it’s even more beautiful in ‘real life’. The only Xmas cards I’ve done so far are for HC, but I’m glad we have the Christmas collection as will be able to make lots of ‘quick’ cards!xx
