Enjoy the Journey Graduation Card

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  Today I’m sharing my Enjoy the Journey graduation card made with papers, stamps, and dies from the fabulous Celebrate the Journey Collection.  It’s a quick and easy masculine card that would work perfectly for all those graduations coming up in May and June.  You’ll find a complete list of supplies and detailed tutorial at the end of this post.

I love the strong masculine images found in this collection.  It really makes it a snap to put together a great card.  I used some fun embossing techniques and put that incredibly versatile Luggage and Tags Die to good use as well.

I used a lot of natural fibers to heighten the masculine feel of this card.  Jute String and hemp cord were braided together to top this tag.   I love the ease of cutting out these sentiment circles when you use the Once Upon a Time die.  The custom tag was cut from the vintage map in the paper collection.  The fact that it is neutral in color meant that I could add my inks and customize it to coordinate perfectly with my card.

Here’s another circle sentiment paired with hemp cord and jute ribbon.

I also braided hemp cord and jute string across the top of the card, tying knots at either end.  It’s a great masculine look.

The inside of the card carries over the theme from the front with a stamped tag, more of those great circle sentiments and another bit of vintage map paper.  Our youngest son will be graduating from his Master’s program in just a couple of weeks, and I think this is the perfect card to mark the beginning of this new chapter in his life.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the projects from the rest of the design team…I know you’ll be inspired.  Sharing Heartfelt Creations Wednesday with you makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers.

I just had to enlarge this so I could get a really good look at it. Gorgeous is not an adequate word to describe this work of art! I love all the attention to detail, which I am learning is one of your trademarks. Also love the rope detail at the top of the card. Just the perfect topping! Have a great day!
