Just a quick post this morning, featuring another Easter card This one also used papers from Webster’s Pages and a handwritten sentiment. “For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone…flowers appear on the earth.” Taken from The Song of Solomon, this seemed like the perfect sentiment for an Easter Card featuring fussy cut flowers and pastel colors: Don’t you just love the crystal flourish and sweet wooden butterfly? Lots of stitching and distressing on the edges, too.
The inside of the Easter card, with a simple, handwritten greeting and torn paper layers. The torn edges were inked with Distress Ink in Tea Dye. The little birdies are the only stamp used in this card. They are from Crafty Secrets and they are on sale right now!
Here’s the finished card with the envelope.
Although Easter comes early this year, I think for many of us it seemed as though Spring would never come! You still have time to make your own Easter card, celebrating the fact that the winter is past, the rain is over and gone and the flowers are appearing on the earth.
That’s it for me today, peeps….I have lots of projects that I’m working on…some fun things I’ll be sharing with you in days to come. My husband and some of our kids are headed to the ACC tournament today (we bleed TarHeel Blue in this household…and we also have to cheer on NC State, as our beloved daughter-in-law is an alumna of that fine institution. Gotta share the love!) So, “Go State” and “Go Heels!” I’m excited, because this means I will have the whole day and the whole evening to play in my studio, read and relax. I don’t even have to cook, because I have a pot of soup in the fridge. Woo-hoo!
