Fun Fold Frog Birthday Card

Frog Fun Fold Card01  Good Friday morning, friends!  It’s birthday month in the Clement household, so I’ve been busy making birthday cards for the family.  Our eldest son (who is 36 this month!) has always had a “thing” for frogs.  I think it started when he was a little fella, and I let him keep a little tree frog in a jar in his bedroom overnight.  Every year, I try to find a new way to incorporate frogs into his birthday celebration.  This year, I made him a fun fold frog birthday card.  I have a tutorial here on how to make these cards, so I’ll spare you the details and just share the photos of this fun, silly birthday card.  Enjoy!

I used papers from Graphic 45's Olde Curiosity Shoppe and a Stampendous stamp to make my dapper frog on the card front. The background has been watercolored.

Frog Fun Fold Card04 The inside quote is from Lewis Carroll’s “Jabberwocky,” which is perfectly silly: “O frabjous day, Callooh, Callay!”  I have no idea what it means, but it sounds celebratory, doesn’t it?

Frog Fun Fold Card05 “A day to set aside your worries and your woes.”

And here’s the custom envelope:Frog Fun Fold Card

Not my fanciest card…but it makes me smile because it reminds me of the little boy who has now become a fine man and a wonderful father in his own right.  I’m so glad he was born!  “O Hoppy Day!”

And that’s all for me today folks!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog, and for all the wonderful comments you leave…they make me “hoppy” right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers.

Until next time,

Cheerio,

kathy

You can just see all the love dripping off these folds of the card! As our children grow into adults, it’s always fun to look back on their childhood, as they will always be our babies! I just know your son is gonna love this and appreciate all the work and love that you have put into it.
