BMW Menu Cards and Place Cards
BMW Odyssey Gala, Argentina, September 2015
This even was held in The Tunnels of El Zanjon, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The brick lined banquet hall is underground with no natural light. The color theme was red, black and silver. Tango dancers provided entertainment for the evening. My custom menu was designed to reflect all these elements.
Each menu front featured an engraved metallic plate. Guest names were printed on high end cream cardstock and mounted on the menus, serving as place cards.

BMW Odyssey 2012, Florence Italy
This event was held in Palazzo Capponi all’Annunziata, built in the 1700’s. The palace featured blue ironwork gates topped with a crown. From this feature and the medallioned ceiling in the banquet hall, I derived the design featured in a hand bound book.
Another view. Note the flourish and peacock feather.
The title page featured another medallion design and masked crown and flourish images. Hand bound book measures 5 1/2 by 8 inches. Interior pages are parchment.
Center page of menu. Note that the menu is written in both Italian and English. Edges are notched and inked.
Final page and inside back cover with more masked flourishes and crowns.

BMW Lisbon, Portugal, September 2013
This is the palace in Lisbon where the event was held. It is called Queluz
The Rococo palace called for a simple, elegant design for the event.
I combined luxurious ivory glimmer paper with an embossed handmade paper in cream to set the tone of elegant simplicity in this opulent ballroom.
The front cover opened to reveal the title page and the menu for the event, along with a brief history of the palace.
I also created escort cards for each attendee. Table assignments were printed on the back of each card. The shape of the card mimicked the shaped ceiling of the venue.
