Good Thursday morning, Folks! I can hear the birds celebrating this new day as I write. I was up very early this morning, unable to sleep and the theme of today’s card probably reflects this. Today’s card is also made from one of my scrap kits. It’s amazing how much fun I am having creating with scraps. Anyway, I had some great coffee themed paper…but not much of it, and a super cute vintage image from Crafty Secrets and few other bits and bobs that I’d clipped together. They magically transformed into this fun card, which I titled, “Give Me a Buzz.”
A little stitching, a little distressing, a little glossy accents and lots of layering, because all these pieces were small. I added the twine bow and wooden button and the copper brads to add some texture. And the coffee pot was fussy cut from a little snippet of the coffee themed paper, then treated with Glossy Accents. I love the retro lady from Crafty Secrets. She’s responsible for the hit of pink in the card. The inside contains the sentiment, “Give me a buzz…”
I know, I know…I can hear you groaning from here. Very punny! The little piece below the sentiment is actually from the back side of the paper…a snippet of another paper in this line. It was in greyscale, but I liked all the fonts, so I traced over them with a brown Sharpie, inked it lightly, added a little Stickles to the heart and used it beneath the sentiment, which was computer journaled. Creating with scraps doesn’t have to be boring!
That’s all for me today, peeps. I have a couple of projects I’m working on and I’ll be back to share them with you asap. Thanks for your sweet comments…they make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers. Until next time,
