Throwback Thursday: Graphic 45 Twelve Days of Christmas Accordion Folio

Hello, Friends!  This Graphic 45 Twelve Days of Christmas Accordion Folio is kicking off a new series here at Kathy by Design.  Twice a month, I’ll be sharing a “Throwback Thursday” project to help us all use up our crafty stash of paper pretties.  I don’t know about you, but my Closet of Shame is amply supplied with beautiful retired paper collections.  I can’t really use retired collections for design team projects, but I can use these beautiful papers  here as inspirational posts for all of you.  Who knows…maybe I’ll dig out an old collection that you have in YOUR Closet of Shame!  Since it’s nearly Christmas, I thought I’d dig out a favorite G45 Christmas collection to get things rolling!

One of my sweet blog buddies, Gena, asked me if I thought I could use this Z fold folio design with Twelve Days of Christmas.  Well, this is not quite the same Z-fold as I needed 6 double sided panels to cover the 12 Days of Christmas.  But it is a really similar design and super easy to make.  Simply score and fold the base of the album (I’ll show you how in the video tour below) then hold everything closed with a stylish belly band.

Are you ready to dig into your hoarded papers and use them to make something beautiful?  Please join me for this short video tour with tips, tricks, measurements and ideas that you can use with one of your favorite collections.

I’m also entering this in the current challenge “It’s the Holidays” over on the Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge Blog.

Well as ever you create magic with paper, flowers, embellishments and bling! I love this folio to bits and am thrilled you’ve had chance to join us for the Holidays. The idea of Throwback Thursday is a fantastic one I think as it’s so easy to miss out on projects over time. Planning on having myself some Kathy hours over the holidays to do some much needed catching up already! Thank you for joining in with our challenge at The Funkie Junkie Boutique blog with your gorgeous folio my friend xx

I LOVE the idea of Throwback Thursday, but ANYTHING you create is just wonderful by me! You have done an amazing job of using up those ‘old’ papers on this delightful folio, filled with surprises with each turn of the page. How you do this is beyond me, but I’m so happy you did! And I could be happier than to see this wonderful project in the gallery at The Funkie Junkie Boutique blog! Sending hugs!
