Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  Today, I’m using another beautiful image from the Gateway to the Seasons collection.  The stamp set is called Winter Wonderland.  The minute I laid eyes on this elegant image, I knew I wanted to use a deep embossing technique to display its beauty.  The full tutorial and materials list are on the Heartfelt Creations blog, so you can pop over there to learn how to make your own version of this card:

Heartfelt Creations June 15 Winter Gateway  It’s a fun and fairly easy technique that gives you a lot of “bang for your buck”.  I had the whole card completed in under 30 minutes, which is really saying something for someone who can spend a whole afternoon making just one card.  Here’s another view:Heartfelt Creations June 15 Winter Gateway.jpg002

And a close up of the deep embossed image:

Heartfelt Creations June 15 Winter Gateway.jpg005 It looks like metal, doesn’t it?  But it’s all done with embossing powder and Staz-On ink.  I added a whisper of Stickles Diamonds, just to make the snow shimmer.

Here’s the interior of this clean and simple card:Heartfelt Creations June 15 Winter Gateway.jpg 007 (3)

The sweet little birdies are part of the paper design.  I merely added a few stamped snowflakes.  You gotta love it when the paper does most of the work for you!

And, that’s it for me today, folks!  Have you ever tried deep embossing?  I’d love to hear about it.  If you still have questions about this technique after reading the blog, just ask me and I’ll be happy to help in any way I can.  You’ll want to check out the blog anyway, because it is absolutely loaded with fabulous projects from all the other members of the design team.  It’s very inspiring!  Thanks for stopping by this morning, and thanks for your kind comments.  Until next time,

I am learning all sorts of stuff from you ladies, that I have no idea about! And less than 30 minutes on a card sounds REALLY good! And thanks for your kind words on my blog! 🙂
