It’s Your Big Day (Birthday Card for Kids)

Happy Saturday morning, folks!  Just popping in quickly to share another fun birthday card made with items from my scrap drawer.  This one is a birthday card for kids, and I call it “It’s Your Big Day”:

025 (2) Oops…should have warned you:  it’s bright!  I wasn’t sure about combining the pink stripe with the orange, but I like the way it turned out.  The little burlap flag banners add some fun texture, and I did some funky stitching to add more textural interest.

027 (2) The bear in the flower pot is popped up on foam tape, and all the coloring was done with Spectrum Noir markers.  I’m in a learning curve there, but practice makes perfect, right?

028 (2) Butterflies were stamped randomly and colored in with Stickles.  Add a flag banner for your sentiment and you’ve got a very fun, happy birthday card for kids!  Here’s the inside:

029 (2) Love that hedgehog!  The sentiment, butterfly and hedgehog were stamped with Jet Black Archival Ink and heat embossed with clear powder.  Easy, peasy.

That’s all I have for today.  Hope you enjoyed this bright and cheery birthday card for kids.  It was made with scraps….but know one will ever know unless I tell them so.  Which, I guess I just did!  LOL  Have a great Saturday…and if you have time to leave a comment, it will make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty  little fingers.  Until next time,

Cheerio,

kathy
