Mermaids Wanted: RRR Challenge 98
Hello, all you fabulous ribbon lovers! I’m very happy and excited to let you know that I am once again a member of the amazing design team for Really Reasonable Ribbon! Hooray! The theme for RRR Challenge 98 is Summer Vacation with ribbon or trims. Since my favorite place to vacation is the beach, I designed a “Mermaids Wanted” card using my fabulous May Ribbon Club Assortment and G45 By the Sea papers.
This front of this 5″ x 7″ side fold card has been scored at 3 1/4″ . The scored section is folded to the inside of the card and glued at the top and bottom to form a pocket. I’ve layered on loads of papers, a corrugated paper die cut, shells and stamped images with my Patriotic Boat on Navy Grosgrain ribbon. I just love the way the ribbons in the May Ribbon Club coordinate with the By the Sea papers from Graphic 45!
I placed a strip of Rosemary Natural Crochet Lace along the right hand side of the inner portion of the card. The inside looks like this:
I used more of the sailboat ribbon (which I adore!) and tons of my favorite Natural Jute String to adorn all the pretty little tags and the festive banner , too.
This is the little tag that is tucked into the pocket I made with the scored/folded flap. I love this mermaid stamp combined with knotted jute string, sailboat ribbon and a little charm that makes me think of a mermaid’s tail.
Now I totally want to go to the beach!
So, it’s your turn now! Create a Summer Vacation themed project with ribbon or trim and LINK IT UP at Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings. Can’t wait to see what you create!
Being back on the RRR team makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!
