Midnight Masquerade Tri Fold Folio

Midnight Masquerade Tri Fold Folio for RRR Blog Hop

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Welcome to the July RRR Blog Hop!  You should be coming here fully inspired from having visited Karen’s lovely blog. This month we’re showcasing the fabulous ribbons from the Perfectly Purple Ribbon Club Assortment.  These ribbons are the perfect playmate for Graphic 45’s Midnight Masquerade Collection and they look amazing in this Midnight Masquerade Tri Fold Folio.

This 4.25″ x 6 folio is made from a 6″ x 12″ strip of heavy white cardstock.

First I covered the folio with designer papers.  Then I needed to create a closure mechanism. Ribbon almost always provides the solution here!  It adds extra color, texture, and pattern to any project.  I applied 3 strips of 1/2″ Scor-tape around the front, spine and back of the folio. Then I created a belly band.   I placed a layer of Mixed Purple Bold Chevron Striped Grosgrain Ribbon on top, and a layer of Mixed Purple Bold Diagonal Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon on the bottom.   Delphinium Diamond Satin Ribbon fills the center and extends out from the edges to form a bow closure.

Next I layered fussy cut images from Midnight Masquerade up with a garden full of pretty purple posies.

I added a fold out flap on the right hand side of the album,

The border strip on the center panel holds this pretty tag folio to hold photos.  I’ve topped it with more of the Delphinium Diamond Satin Ribbon and a snippet of Mixed Purple Triangle Print Grosgrain Ribbon.

The side pocket holds a smaller tri fold photo wallet.

Hi Kathy, this is bright an beautiful. when I first saw this I thought of Paris, perhaps because Paris is in the news. It just reminded me of the festive Bastille day. or other festivities. I think the Lady image with that tall white hair brought it to mind as well.
    I love it…….hugs.

I was surprised to see dimensional flowers inside this folio…I expected to see flat embellishments. Lovely colors on beautiful G45 papers!

Kathy, I just love the rich colors of the Midnight Masquerade set and, combined with July’s RRR set, this tri-fold is truly elegant. The tri-fold photo piece in the pocket is a great idea. Thanks for sharing this.
