Mojo Monday 296 (G45 Ladies’ Diary)

Anybody else out there feeling like time is moving at warp speed?  Phew!  I can’t believe it’s already June…and that Monday passed me by and here it is Tuesday already.  Great day in the morning!  I must be getting old!  Today’s card is based off this week’s Mojo Monday 296 sketch: Isn’t this a great sketch?  I haven’t played along in a challenge for a while, and I liked the looks of this card layout, so decided to join in.   Here’s what I came up with:

008 (2) I broke out one of my favorite Graphic 45 collections: A Ladies’ Diary, and created this very vintage pink and green note card.  The focal image is stamped with the coordinating Hampton Art stamps and colored with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Lots of stitching, distressing and die cutting here, and even a little fussy cutting went into this Mojo Monday 296 design. I added a stick pin from Petaloo, the new Stampin’ Up pistachio card stock, gems, ribbon, and doily and Stickles, Oh My!  011 (2) I must be pining for Downton Abbey!  There’s nothing inside this card…it is simply a card with lots of room for you to write a newsy note to a lovely friend.  (I was going to say “gossip, ” but Ladies of Quality do not gossip!) I did, however, line the envelope:

007 (2)…and cover the envelope flap:

006 (2)

You can click on the photos for a larger view.  The background paper is super pretty!

Well, folks…that’s it for me today.  I hope you enjoyed my take on Mojo Monday 296.  There’s time for you to play along, and this week there’s a prize!  So hop on over to the Mojo Monday blog and add your card based on this sketch.  I’ll be looking for it!

Thanks for stopping by. I love sharing my work with you, and hearing your comments makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers.  Until next time,

Love, love this card! The colors are so soft and beautiful, and that little stick pin just pops. Love all the stitching, fussy cutting and just the whole thing and the ribbon bow is the perfect finishing touch. Love the paper you used to line the envelop and flap, too – just beautiful!

“Ladies of quality” *snort!* That would not be me I’m afraid.
What a lovely way to kick off my Tuesday…by enjoying your beautiful creation. Now if Carson would just show up with a fresh cuppa jo for me, all would be grand in my kingdom. 🙂

I too am missing Downton Abbey and have always felt like I was born too late. That way of life was so special…of course I probably would have lived below stairs! LOL… I love your card! Pink and green are great favorites of mine. These papers are just so beautiful! Hope your Tuesday is a good one!

I love it! Two of my favorite colors! The lacy undertone makes me think of a lady’s petticoat. Very clever. Indeed reminiscent of Downton Abbey. I’m sure Mrs. Grantham would be proud to have any of these fine hats in her wardrobe. 🙂 I love it! Thanks for sharing as always!
