Good Friday morning, all! I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July and are enjoying this lovely, long weekend. I have a fun card to share with you today. It features the sketch from this week’s Mojo Monday. The fabulous Julee Tilman has graced us with another wonderful sketch…and this one is really special, because it is Mojo Monday 300! There’s a special celebration on the blog and wonderful prizes up for grabs, so go check it out and play along. Here’s the sketch:
You know I love all those luscious layers…and here is my interpretation:
I used the new Stampin’ Up In-Colors Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana in this 5×7 card. I fell in love with the fresh, fun colors the minute I saw them. I added Stampin’ Up “Attic Boutique” designer paper (retired) to the mix and was thrilled with how well these colors played together.
The stamped image is from the Forever Young cling stamp set. I’ve had it for a while, but decided to break it out and use it. I stamped baked brown sugar with the Wonderfully Worn background stamp in Pink Pirouette then overstamped the tree/swing image in Early Espresso and heat embossed with clear powder.
The sentiment is from my new favorite “Million and One” stamp set, also stamped in Early Espresso and heat embossed. A little paper piercing, a perky pink flower, a “Twitterpated” button and some floss and the front of the card is complete. Here’s the interior: …and the matching envelope: Fresh and fun, don’t you think?
I want to take a moment to thank Julee Tilman for 300 wonderful weeks of sketchy inspiration. I don’t always play along, but I am always inspired by her designs and have kept the Mojo Monday sketches in a file for those days when my Mojo needs a little jump start. So, congratulations, Julee on Mojo Monday 300…and here’s to another 300 fabulous sketches.
That’s it for me today, folks. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have time to do something creative this weekend.
