Monday Morning Detour (Stamping Bella Uptown Molly Makes a Detour)

Good Monday morning….although it’s  a little bit later than I normally post, I’m managing to squeak one in under the wire.  It’s been a Monday morning full of detours!  Phone calls, family (which is the best kind of detour!) chores and then just when I finally got things under way, my desk chair decided to go on strike….and the hydraulic dropped down to the lowest level…so I feel like a toddler sitting at my work desk.  It’s quite humorous!  So the card I created for you today fits the theme for today perfectly.  It features Stamping Bella Uptown Molly Makes a Detour.  How perfect is that?

004 (2) I am still experimenting with my watercolor pencils, and while I’m not completely satisfied with the results on this image, I’m happy enough.  I added distressing, wonky stitching, lots of layers, rub-ons, buttons, and a custom dyed bow to complete the card.  It’s a great graduation card, or a job promotion card, or a    bon voyage card…or even a good card for someone who is facing an unexpected turn of events in life.  I love Uptown Molly perched on her stack of stylish suitcases!

001 (2) And, finally the card with the matching envelope.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog today.  I hope you enjoyed my Stamping Bella Uptown Molly Makes A Detour card, and that your Monday is running more smoothly than mine has so far.  I’m going to try to figure out how to fix my chair!  You know I love hearing from you, so if you have any questions about today’s card, please let me know.  I try to respond personally to each comment left here…because your comments make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers.  Until next time…

Cheerio,

kathy

What a cute card – and it’s so true – some of my fondest memories are from the detours that were taken, like the time I was driving Mom back to S. Royalton and we stopped at the Indian Museum on a whim. We had such fun, and she was delighted to have the chance to see the items on display. Sometimes the road less traveled is truly the one that delights! Hope you get your chair fixed!
