Good Friday morning, my friends! Well, a few more hours and we will be home free and starting yet another weekend. We have planned another fun family day tomorrow as our youngest son and his bride are home on Fall Break. I have some cooking to get done today, but before I get started on that, I wanted to share this bright and cheery My Type of Friend card made with…you guessed it…Graphic 45 Typography!
It’s a 5×7 card on a kraft base. The main image is one of the card fronts taken right out of the 12×12 paper collection. I matted it with a bold red paper and added a little corner detail. The “My Type” sentiment is taken from the cut apart page and embellished with a fun lightbulb and hand made posy.
I used my Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch die and co-ordinating stamps to make the perky little blossom. I just love how these turn out. I alternated papers from the Typography collection to make the separate layers for the bloom.
The top sentiment is stamped in chalkboard style while the bottom sentiment is taken from the quote page of the Typography collection. It makes it so easy to add a sentiment to a card! Do you like the way the sentiment spans both sides of the card? It’s different, and I like a little variety when it comes to card design. Both quotes tie in well with the My Type of Friend theme.
I’m entering this in the Graphic 45 October contest. Some lucky entrant will win a lovely prize pack of Graphic 45 goodies. I hope it’s me! LOL! If you are interested, you can find the information on their Facebook page. I’m also entering it in the Crop Stop World Card Making Day contest. And now, I have laundry to fold, so I’d best be going.
I hope each one of you knows how much it means to me that you take the time to stop by my little blog. I know it’s a busy world, and we are all pressed for time…so when you leave me a comment…it makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers! Until next time,
