Picture Perfect Birthday Card
Hi, there! It’s me again, just popping in quickly to share this fun Picture Perfect Birthday card made with Graphic 45 Communique papers. Dontcha just love the red and black color palette and those fun vintage images? Communique is one of my most favorite collections from G45, and I confess to hoarding it because it is now out of print. But our newest daughter-in-law was having a birthday, and since she just launched her new photography business, I knew this was the exact paper to use. She really liked it when we celebrated her birthday last Thursday night, and I wanted to share it with you here, too.
All the elements are from the paper collection. I die cut an oval in the center of the photo album, turning it into a frame. I embossed the front of the album with a frame folder to add more dimension. A vintage camera image was mounted inside the frame. The glamor shot tag was treated with Versamark and UTEE to make it look like old photo glass. The filmstrip was layered to reveal her age (26) and I added Glossy Accents to the red camera lens to make it look like glass. Simple accents, layers and foam tape really gave this card a lot of dimension and textural interest. Here’s a peeky at the inside design.
I added a little brown paper bag to the inside of this 5″ x 7″ card and tucked a gift card inside. So she can buy more camera gear for her new business. (Check her out on Facebook: Shantelle Marie Photography.
I love that hand crafted cards can be tailored to the individual in a way that makes them truly unique.
