Welcome to the first Heartfelt Creations Wednesday in October! I have a Pocket Full of Posies to share with you today, made with the amazing Classic Sunflower Collection. You’ll find a complete supply list and detailed tutorial below.
You can’t have a pocket full of posies without a pocket watch, right? So I stamped the vintage pocket watch from the Once Upon a Time onto more Hello Honey cardstock , fussy cut it and added it to the card.
I created the pocket and tucked in some cute tags, cut with my favorite Luggage and Tags Die. I use this die several times every week, and often wonder how I managed to craft without it!
I had to show you the inside. This Polka Dot paper is so much fun to work with. The stamped sentiment is from the wonderful All Occasion Sentiment Set.
I wouldn’t mind getting a year older if I got this cheery pocket full of posies in the mail box, would you?
That’s all for me today, folks! Thanks for stopping by!

Create a 6″ x 6″ easel card base from gold cardstock. Cut a second 6″ square from gold cardstock to use as the face of your card. Cut the plaid paper from the collection to 5 3/4″ square. Cut the blue denim paper to 5 1/2″ inches square and stitch onto the plaid paper using a zig zag stitch. Add the burlap ribbon to the base with Scor-Tape and leave the frayed ends showing. Glue onto the card face.
Stamp the pocket watch onto the gold cardstock using the Sepia ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Tear along the bottom of the stamped image to give it a rustic look, then fussy cut around the rest of the image, using a craft knife to evacuate when necessary. Ink the edges with Vintage Photo DI. Set aside.
Fussy Cut the pocket from the blue denim paper and mat it onto gold cardstock, leaving the top edge open so you can tuck in some tags. Tie gold, navy and natural burlap string around the pocket and tie a knot on the left hand side. Cut a piece of the plaid paper to fit inside the pocket and mat it with gold paper. Glue only the bottom edge and sides down, leaving the top open to form a pocket. Slip this into the denim pocket. Use foam adhesive to secure the pocket to the card base, as shown, then add the prepared pocket watch with foam adhesives.
Die cut two of the scalloped tags from gold cardstock using the Luggage and Tags die. Add artwork and paper to decorate, cutting the artwork with the ticket die. Top with a rustic brad and tuck into the pockets. Use the rounded tag die to cut “Celebrate” from the artwork and attach to the twine around the pocket. Add a rhinestone and small bow. Attach the card face to the prepared easel card base.
For the interior, cut a 5 3/4″ square from the polka dot card front paper, and line the card interior with it. Cut the button strip from the second piece of blue denim paper, mat with gold paper and use the tiny stapler to attach it, 3/4″ from the card base. Wrap with burlap string and tie a bow. Fussy cut a sunflower from the paper collection and add to the card. Use Sepia Archival Ink to stamp the Classic Sunflower Background onto gold cardstock. Heat emboss, die cut and use one small blossom on top of the fussy cut sunflower. Add rhinestones. Cut a journal spot from the artwork and stamp with the sentiment. Tuck behind the denim strip on the interior of the card. Thread a button with yellow burlap string and add to pocket. Spritz the pocket watch and sunflowers with Perfect Pearls.
