Good morning, peeps! Happy “hump” day! I can’t believe this week is half over.
Today I have a sweet little card called “Pretty in Pink” that I created for the new Tuesday Trigger Challenge over at Moxie Fab World. Here’s the inspiration photo for this week:
Isn’t it fabulous?
And here’s my take on this week’s trigger:
I was taken with those delicate pink flowers and the white woodgrain background. I created the card background with a custom mix of acrylic paints. When they dried, I stamped the Dylusions vine image lightly on the left hand side of the panel and edged the panel with my Bundled Sage Distress Marker. Next, I cut a square of white cardstock to 3.5×5 inches. I inked up my Hero Arts Flower Tablecloth Stamp with Versamark and heat embossed it with white Super Fine embossing powder. When the image cooled, I colored in the flowers with Distress Markers in Tattered Rose, Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass, Victorian Velvet and Scattered Straw.
Here you can see the enamel look that was achieved by stamping and heat embossing the background. You may recognize this stamp from yesterday’s What’s Up, Buttercup post. Isn’t it amazing how different this image looks when it’s embossed in white?
The sentiment was stamped on plain white cardstock, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I overstamped the sentiment in Bundled Sage, using the Flower Tablecloth Stamp once again. I used a template to create the shape for the sentiment and backed it with sage green cardstock.
The ribbon was dyed with Distress Ink in Bundled Sage and Tattered Rose to complete the Pretty in Pink theme. I added a little sage button to the bow to finish things off.
Here’s the interior of the card:
There’s plenty of time for you to play along in this week’s challenge over at Moxie Fab World. Even if you don’t want to play along, take a few minutes to ooh and aah over the other gorgeous creations posted there. I know you’ll find loads of inspiration.
That’s all for me today, folks. Thanks for taking the time to stop by my little blog. You know how much I love your comments. They make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers. Until next time,
