Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop with August Ribbon Collection

Hello all you ribbon loving people!  Welcome to the August Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop! You should be coming here from Cheryl’s lovely  BLOG.

I have to tell you, the August Ribbon Club assortment is totally dreamy!  Take a peek:

These colors make my heart happy!  They are the colors of fall…my very favorite season!  I found that these ribbons worked perfectly with one of my favorite Graphic 45 paper collections: Botanicabella.  Here’s a look at the card I made to go with these luscious ribbons.

RRR August Blog Hop 01This is a 5″ x 7″ gatefold card with a decorative panel attached to the front.  The luxurious ribbon is a combination of the Rust and Ivory Plaid with Sherry Checkerboard Satin and Autumn Diamond Print Grosgrain Ribbon.  Of course, I had to add a touch of my favorite Natural Jute String.  The button, metal corners and key are from my stash.  I created the decorative panel using Spellbinder’s Labels 22. I frayed the ends of the ribbon to add to the vintage vibe.

Here are some more photos for you to enjoy.

I can feel both the pain at using these treasures from “the stash” and the joy at how the finished product is. I am notoriously cheap and would only use one of these fabulous metal corners!!!

This card is so wonderfully rich looking. Love the warm tones and stunning embellishments. I love the Graphic 45 papers and these are perfect with the ribbons. TFS, Hugs,

What an amazing card that you crafted to share with us hoppers! Wow. The ribbon choices really do work with all of your other element choices! I love your style!

Kathy – What a beautiful card you’ve made! I love the way you add so many fine details to your work (the glitter on the butterfly, the ragged edges of the ribbon, the thick twine on the key) and even more! Your projects are feasts for my eyes! Since I started following you in January of this year, I have been amazed at how much you have Kick It Up a Level (or two)! I always enjoy your work – what a lovely card and sentiment!
