Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge 92: Flowers Plus Ribbon
Hello, all you lovers of fabulous ribbon! It’s time to play along in Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge 92: Flowers and Ribbon. Ooh-la-la! Now you are talking my language! Two of my favorite elements to add to any card combined in one fabulous challenge! You know the drill: Visit the design team blogs for loads of ribbony inspiration (you can find links in my side bar) and then create your own fabulous new project that features flowers and ribbon. Want an idea to get you started?
I made this 5″ x 6 1/2″ retro card with Glitz Cashmere Dame papers. I just love this fashionable lady in her yellow swim suit and bandana! Because the paper featured red gingham checks, it was only natural that I would reach for this cheery 7/8″ Red Gingham ribbon. I used my Bow it All tool to help me tie that perfect double layer bow. Three loops on the bottom layer and two loops on the top. Lah-de-dah!
I added a little cherry button, layers of paper, doilies and more of that scrumptious Beatrice White Crochet Lace.
I just love it!
I also used a layer of it here to cover the cut edge of my half doily. These Red Cottage Roses were the perfect finishing touch.
The inside follows the red/yellow color palette. I punched out these little posies to decorate the inside.
And, I made an envelope to match.
OK…now it’s your turn. Put on your thinking cap, sharpen your scissors and get out your glue gun! Create a project with flowers and ribbon and link it up to the RRR blog. I can’t wait to see what you create! I know it will make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!
