RRR November Blog Hop: Christmas/Winter Holiday and Ribbon Theme

Hello, friends!  I’m back with another post today.  This one is for the RRR November Blog Hop.  If you are looking for my Heartfelt Creations post, please scroll down.  Thanks!

The blog hop begins on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.

You should be coming to my blog from the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog. For a complete blog list, scroll to the bottom of this post.

The RRR design team is sharing Christmas/Winter Holiday projects made with the totally fun November Ribbon Club Assortment.  Here’s a peek:

Monthly Ribbon Club, Domestic When I received my package in the mail, I actually said, “Ooooooooh.”  I love the wonderful Winter Carnival colors.  My mind immediately went to the Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet collection when I saw those glorious plums, pinks and lavenders. I had a really hard time choosing just one of these ribbons to feature on a card.  So I thought…why choose?  Why not use them all?  And that’s exactly what I did!

RRR Blog Hop 111307  Does this card make you feel like you’re at a winter carnival?  Let’s break out the hot chocolate and marshmallows and take a look at how I used these yummy ribbons to adorn this card.

I began by creating a 7″x5″ top opening card base from plum cardstock.  I added a 6 7/8″ x 4 7/8″ panel of the purple diamond paper to this base and machine stitched around it.

I created a fishtail banner out of the Sugarplum Fairy paper .  This was matted on lavender and plum cardstock. I used the snowy white Francis White Crochet Lace along the left hand side of this panel, then I ran a piece of 1/8″ redline tape along the base.  I created little fishtail banners from each of the ribbons in the package and secured them to the redline tape.

A post card from the collection was cut out, matted and mounted on top. The little gift tag is popped up on foam tape, and I fussy cut a gingerbread man from the collection and popped him behind the gift tag.

A triple loop bow was made with that luxurious Diamond Satin Plum ribbon and added to the left hand side of the card as the finishing touch.  I love the way the diamond pattern in the paper works with the diamond pattern of the ribbon and how all the little ribbon banners pull out the various colors in the paper collection.

RRR Blog Hop 111310 The inside of the card uses the same color palette from the front.  And, of course, I had to decorate the envelope.

RRR Blog Hop 111308 I even added a little border piece to the front of the envelope.

RRR Blog Hop 111302     I love it when you get to choose it all!  Don’t you?

Thanks for stopping by.  Now, go leave some love on all the design team blogs.  When you are finished, go back to the RRR blog and answer the question of the month to be entered into a drawing to win this month’s gorgeous ribbon pack.  Woo-hoo!

Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous Ginny.  If you get lost along the way, here’s a link to all the blogs on the hop.
