Mojo Monday on a Sunday Paired with a Dynamic Duo Color Choice
Good Sunday afternoon friends! Will somebody please tell me where this week went to? I feel like I blinked my eyes and it was OVER. So, here I am at the last minute again, sharing a soft and sweet baby girl card that I made for both Mojo Monday 301 and Dynamic Duos #61. I used all Stampin’ Up products (except for the doily and lace trim) on this cute little card:
I instantly thought “baby girl card” when I saw this soft and sweet Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand color combo. I decided to turn the sketch on it’s head this week and went to work layering Stampin’ Up designer papers from Beau Chateau and another retired textured cardstock that is so old I don’t even remember the name! But the colors and graphics were perfect for what I had in mind.
I used Soft Suede and Pink Pirouette inks for the stamping. The darling little onesie is actually one of several that you can find on the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel set. It took less than 10 seconds to ink up the wheel and roll it over the cardstock. Then I simply had to fussy cut out the tee I liked the best, mat it with Sahara Sand and I was done.
The sentiment is from my new favorite sentiment set:, “One in a Million.” I love the fonts in this sentiment set, and there is an appropriate greeting for just about any type of card you’d need to create. I stamped the sentiment on cardstock vellum, cut it out, and mounted it at the base of the sketch. The little flower was created with the Boho Blossoms punch. It takes no time at all to punch out the 3 flowers in this punch, shape them, layer them and add a rhinestone center. Good thing, too, given how close to the deadline I was running!
Of course, I lined the envelope (but forgot to take a picture) with the same pink chicken wire, but I covered the envelope flap with some pink and brown damask, also from Beau Chateau.
You have plenty of time to play along with Dynamic Duos….but if you want to get on board with this week’s Mojo Monday, you’d better hustle it up: the linky tool closes at 8PM MST.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this soft and sweet baby girl card. If you are interested in any of the Stampin’ Up product used to create this card, please let me know. I’d be more than happy to help you order it. I also want to thank you for the many kind and thoughtful comments you leave here for me on the blog. You have no idea how much you encourage me. Your comments make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers! Until next time,
