Things with Wings and Ribbon Challenge at RRR
Hello, again, Ribbon Lovers! It’s the 15th of July, and that means it’s time for another fabulous challenge from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The theme for this challenge is “Things with Wings and Ribbon.” How fun is that?
I went all “girly” this time around and altered a little purple pillow box that I found buried in the Closet of Shame. I ran it through an embossing folder and sanded it to give it some texture. It was wrapped with delicate Danielle Crocheted Lace. I layered on a doily, a medallion that I created with luscious Delphinium Checkerboard Satin and a circle of Place in Time paper from Graphic 45. I bent the wings on my silver butterfly and glued it down along with the silver word strip. I love how the butterfly reflects the colors from my handmade paper flower.
I layered Green Vertical Stripe grosgrain ribbon with Danielle Crochet Lace , Iridescent White Metallic String and a tiny purple button. The birthday banner and postage stamp from A Place in Time were the finishing touches for this frilly gift package.
Now it’s your turn! Dig into your ribbons and trim and create your own “Things With Wings” project and link it up on the Really Reasonable Ribbon BLOG. I can’t wait to see what you create! This Things with Wings and Ribbon challenge makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers.
