Heartfelt Creations Wednesday Sweet Juliet Release
Good Wednesday morning, friends! It’s time for another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday. I have two projects on the Heartfelt Creations blog this week. Another little mini album and this Thinking of You Masculine card. I’ll share the details of the mini album with you tomorrow, but for today, I’d like to take a look at this quick and easy masculine card. Before we do that, it’s also the release day for the beautiful new Sweet Juliet collection. Here are the official press release notes:
We are pleased to introduce the Sweet Juliet Collection. This collection is inspired by the beauty of ancient rooms locked away and laden with antique treasures. These rooms are filled with yellow candlelight and dusty vases. Crinkly letters lay scattered around, turning crisp and fading more every day. A postcard lays covered in thick dust, forgotten in a dark corner. Wildflowers lay around, as crisp and crinkled as the beautiful wallpapers. Using these detailed floral and typographical stamps, complemented by black, gold and burgundy papers will enable you to create an outstanding classical creation.
Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by October 15th and you will be eligible to win the entire collection valued at $150.
A quick and easy masculine card:
By now you all know how much I enjoy creating projects and cards that contain a lot of details. But I also like to create quick, simple cards like this Thinking of You masculine card. This card came together from concept to completion in about 30 minutes, which is pretty fast! Here is a supply list and detailed instructions for creating this card:
Heartfelt Creations Product used in making this card: HCPC 3566 Beautiful Juliet PreCut Set; HCDP1237 Antiquities Paper Collection
Other Product Used: Chocolate Chip Cardstock, Cherry Cobbler Cardstock; twine, button, burlap, Coffee Archival Ink; Clear Embossing Powder; Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Directions: Create a 6×6” card base with the fold at the top. Cut out the “You Mean So Much to Me” panel from the 6×6 card base page of the Sweet Juliet collection. Trim to 5 7/8” square. Stitch around the edges. Ink with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Adhere to card base.
Cut a 1”x 5 ½” strip of the script paper from Sweet Juliet. Cut a fishtail on the bottom end. Mat onto Cherry Cobbler, Burlap, Chocolate Chip and then Cherry Cobbler once again. Glue approximately 1” from the left hand side of the card base.
Stamp the Thinking of You stamp onto a light colored sheet of Sweet Juliet Paper with Coffee Ink. Heat Emboss with clear embossing powder. Mat with Chocolate Chip cardstock and mat again onto Cherry Cobbler cardstock and cut a fishtail end on the right hand side. Glue onto burlap and trim around. Fray the ends. Line up with the left hand edge of the vertical strip and glue down. Make a jute bow. Add button. Wrap top of card with jute string and add a bow.
On the inside, cut a 5 ½” x 5” panel of light colored paper from the collection. Top with a 1” strip of dark brown paper, cut a fishtail banner and top with the sentiment from one of the mini journal cards.
This is another wonderful paper collection, full of ready to go card fronts and artwork. I loved everything about it, and I think you will, too.
If you haven’t voted for your favorite designers yet, just click on the link and make your selection. It only takes a second, and you may win a $50 gift card to Heartfelt Creations by doing so. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, hoping to make the team for another round, but I need your vote to do so. To those of you who have already voted, thank you! Remember, you must cast your vote by October 18th.
And that’s it for me today, folks. I’ll be back tomorrow to share photos and instructions for another fun mini album. I so appreciate your visits. I know how busy we all are, and the fact that you take the time to stop by my little blog and leave such nice comments makes me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers. Until next time,
