Time for Love on Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Morning, Friends!  It’s Time for Love on Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  Today I have a dramatic rose and teal wedding card to share with you. Remember, the photos will be enlarged if you click on the pictures.

HC Time for Love 01

For this 5″ x 7″ top fold card, I used one of the many card fronts in the Once Upon a Time Paper Collection.  I created  tag and stamped it with the Floral Key and Locket image and colored it in with Distress Markers and a water brush.  The layered die cuts are made with the Ornate Gateway die.

By now you probably know that I love the Delicate Asters stamps and dies.  They just make the most gorgeous flowers.  I colored this one to match the Rose Silky Crush Ribbon and the card front elements.

I used Distress Paints along with glitter to create the colors on this blossom.  I tucked a little clock face that I’ve been hoarding for some time onto the front of the ribbon, along with some sweet little sentiment tags from the collection.

Lots of distressing on the edges, for that touch of drama.

HC Time for Love 02

I’ll tell you a secret….when I was a little girl, I wanted  an all pink wedding.  Pink wedding gown, pink bridesmaid’s dresses, even pink tuxedos on the groom and groomsmen.  I think I was influenced in this desire by my mother, as she loved pink in all its varied shades.  One Christmas, she gave me a paper doll set that was entitled, “Pink Wedding” so maybe that’s where the seed for this card was planted all those years ago!  LOL

You’ll find a complete supply list and detailed instructions for making this card below.  You can also find them on the Heartfelt Creations blog along with a smorgasbord of inspiring projects from HC design team.  Or, you can visit their individual blogs by clicking on the links in my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping in to share my Time for Love card on Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  I hope you were inspired.  If so, then I’m happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers!

Other Product: Paper: white cardstock, pink glitter cardstock; Ink: Coffee Archival Ink, Distress Ink in Tattered Rose, Tea Stain, Evergreen Bough; Distress Markers: Picked Raspberry, Victorian Velvet, Tea Stain; Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon Iridescent Twine, Silky Crush Rose Ribbon; Other: Craft Mat, Diamond Stickles, watch button, water brush, pink rhinestones.
Directions: Create a 7” x 5” card base from white textured cardstock.  Cut the card front from the paper collection.  Ink the edges with Picked Raspberries Distress Stain and then distress the edges.  Stamp the open area of the card front with the Embrace Time background, using Tea Stain Distress Ink.  Cut the tag from the paper collection and ink the edges.  Stamp the Floral Key Locket onto the tag using Coffee Archival Ink.  Color the image in with Distress Markers and water brush.  To do this, scribble directly onto the craft sheet with the Distress markers and then pick up the color with a water brush.  To create water spots: Dilute the Picked Raspberries with a spray of water.  Pick up with the brush and while holding the end of the brush loosely with one hand, tap the end of the brush with the other, letting the ink spatters fall randomly onto the image.  Mat the tag with pink glitter cardstock, punch a hole in the top and add the rose ribbon and iridescent twine, as shown.  Stamp and die cut the locket from the Floral Key locket set. Color and use foam dots to add to the tag.  Tap Stickles lightly onto the locket.  Add two small pink rhinestones. Die cut the top of the Ornate Gateway Die and snip into three sections, tucking one under the left side of the tag, one on the right and a tiny portion below the tag, as shown.  Glue onto the card front.
Stamp and die cut the Delicate Aster.  Scribble Distress Markers in Picked Raspberry, Tea Dye and Victorian Velvet onto the craft mat.  Spritz lightly with water and run the die cut flowers through the puddle of ink.  Dry with heat gun and then shape and stack.  Add a pink rhinestone to the center and glue the leaves beneath.  Lightly brush with Diamond Stickles.
Create the bow and glue the watch button into the center.  Glue onto base of card.  Cut the two oval tags from the paper collection, tuck into the bow and glue down.  Brush lightly with Stickles.

Kathy…your card top is too pretty to be a card! 🙂 Such gorgeous layers of gently distressed elements that are collaged so perfectly. I love love the ribbons and flowers! That pink tone mixed with the jewel tone green and then complimented with the sepia browns is a striking combination. Absolutely a gorgeous card! <3 Candy

I never loved pink until I reached almost 50. I think Linda Duke had a role in that! Anyway I love your card…those flowers and the die cut pieces are just amazing! Hoping you are having good weather; ours has been crazy lately!
