Good Friday morning, friends! Today I have a few “Too Cute to Spook” Halloween cards to share with you featuring Graphic 45’s Steampunk Spells and Happy Hauntings. I made these for a friend of mine that wanted to send Halloween cards to family members who live in another state. I was more than happy for the excuse to purchase the Steampunk Spells collection! I won’t share a lot of details here…just photos and few comments, in case you are still needing ideas for your Halloween cards.
We may as well begin with my favorite card. This Steampunk bicycle lady really tickles the imagination. I love the colors, the pumpkin hot air balloons and her top hat with goggles. I did lots of fussy cutting and layering to achieve this effect, and then added stickes just for fun.
This card is also from Steampunk Spells It’s more of a grown up card, and I just love the buterfly and die cut flowers. The lime green metallic string was the perfect accent here. Not a lot of layering, but some fun distressing adds texture and interest. The inside is fun, too:
This fancy witch is also from Happy Haunting. Again, my buddy the man in the moon adorns the card focal. I backed this one with silver waffle paper from Stampin’ Up. I love the effect it lends. A few simple embellies and this card was done. The inside is cute, too:
For some reason, this card base looks blue in the photo, but it was actually purple. You can click on the photo to see the details. I used stamps from Crafty Secrets Halloween set to decorate the inside panel.
Do you have plans for Halloween? I love to take the grand girls out for Trick or Treat. I asked Sophie what she was going to be this year. Last year, she was a princess. She said she was still trying to decide. Whatever she decides, I know she’ll be adorable. And Julia is old enough to participate this year, too. They, like these cards, are too cute to spook!
OK…that’s it for me today. Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions about any of these cards, just leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. You know your comments make me happy right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers. Until next time,
