Welcome Spring with Really Reasonable Ribbon
Challenge # 91: Welcome Spring & Ribbon Theme
Hello, all you lovers of fabulous ribbon! It’s time to Welcome Spring with Really Reasonable Ribbon! Challenge#91 has just posted on the RRR blog, and the design team has put together some amazing spring inspiration with ribbon. You can visit each design team member’s blog by clicking on the links for the RRR team in my sidebar.
My BOLB (Best On Line Buddy) , Ginny, sent me some adorable Vintage Easter Bunny images to work with this time around, and I made them up into sweet Easter cards. I used my favorite RRR ribbon on each of these cards: White Delicate Stitched Satin. I first encountered this wonderful ribbon in one of the monthly ribbon club assortments. I was immediately impressed with its delicate beauty, and then when I tied bows with it I realized it is a dream to work with. I liked it so much, I bought a whole spool!
I paired it up with another product that I truly love working with. Iridescent White Metallic String may not look like much when you see it on the spool, but when you add it to a card, it lends a luxurious soft shine to everything. It also picks up on and reflects whatever color palette you are working with, making it very versatile.
I love the shine of the iridescent string beneath that pink button. It also looks great tied in the top of one of Ginny’s Nest Tags.
I also made liberal use of my favorite new crochet lace. Beatrice White Crochet Lace adds a touch of elegance and texture that I just love.
Here’s a photo of all 4 cards together. These images were so sweet, I couldn’t stop at just one card. You can click on the photos for a closer look.
I used some of Ginny’s adorable vintage button cards on the inside of each card.
And I decorated the envelopes to match.
