Heartfelt Creations Wednesday
Hello, Friends! Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! Today I have a sweet little thank you card made with the Posy Patch Collection. This cheeky little bird just captures my heart! I love it when I make a card and the paper does most of the heavy lifting. That is certainly the case with this You Are the Song in My Heart card. I did some simple fussy cutting, coloring and layering but the paper did most of the work for me.
This is the first project I’ve attempted since Dale had his quadruple bypass surgery on the 7th of this month. My fingers were itching to get back in the studio, let me tell you! Then, when I got here, I felt as though I’d never made a card in my life before. I couldn’t find things, dropped things, questioned my design…whew! I’m hoping that now that I’ve got this first card “under my belt” things will go more smoothly.
I took this photo so you could see how I fussy cut the images from the paper and layered them with foam tape. They almost look like die cuts. I used Distress Markers to color the images before adding them to the card. The sentiment is one of the wonderful circle stamps from the Moments With You PreCut Set. I use these all the time!
You will find detailed instructions and a complete list of material to create this “You Are the Song in My Heart” card today on the Heartfelt Creations blog. You can also find a preview of the gorgeous Floral Key Collection that will be released on Black Friday. The rest of the design team has some wonderful samples to inspire your creativity, so be sure to stop by.
As always, thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog. I am so thankful that my husband is recovering well, thankful for all the prayers and support you all shared with me during this difficult time…and oh, so thankful to be back in my studio! It makes me happy….right down to the tips of my crafty little fingers! Until next time,
