A Proper Gentleman Card Folio Tutorial

A Proper Gentleman Card Folio Tutorial is Now Live

Hello, Friends!  Good news!  Many of you asked me to create a tutorial for THIS .  Thanks to the generosity of Graphic 45, who sent me another DCE, I am happy to report that A Proper Gentleman Card Folio Tutorial is now available on my YouTube Channel.

Because I was out of a few supplies, you will find a few of the details in this tutorial are slightly different from the original project.  (And truthfully, I hate making the exact same thing twice.) But the basics are all the same, and the process is exactly the same.

Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman Card Folio Tutorial by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design Photo 02This is a “beginning to end” tutorial that will guide you through every single step in creating this folio.  (A labor of love, my friends…this took 2 1/2 days of my life.  LOL)  I had to split the tutorial into two parts because of its length.

A Proper Gentleman Card Folio Tutorial Part 2: Creating the Frame Border and Card Front

Now that should keep you busy for a day or two!  LOL

And if you love this folio, but don’t have time to make one  yourself, I have the sample available for purchase in my ETSY shop.  First come, first served.

Oh Kathy…you’ve just inspired me for my next brother-in-law card! This folio is such a unique creation, the details of the cover alone have given me some great ideas for adding those little things that make a project just a bit more… Like the way the tags are pocketed but peek out. It adds still another dimension to the front view. Your two-part video is a wonderful tutorial, each one to watch over and over, especially setting up the basic folio, or making tags, or a book mark or…see what I mean? It’s full of helpful ideas. Thanks for sharing everything.

Kathy, enjoyed your tutorial- I always learn something. You certainly are the queen of the little details! That’s the fun and creative part of the project. Ps I don’t really like reproducing either. BORING! And never turns out the samehave a great day.

Oh My Goodness Kathy!!!! What a wonderful way to wake up an hour early this morning. Your video dinged my phone because I forgot to turn it off. LOL My kitty snuggled up with me while I watched. Purrfect! I have a very dear friend retiring the beginning of April and this will be his card/gift. I love to make matching boxes for my dimensional cards to make the presentation even better. I already have the Graphic 45 papers so I am good to go.
I am going to get my craft on right now! Thank You!!!

    Many Blessings,
    Vicki
