Frilly & Funkie All Lined Up Challenge: Let’s Chat with Graphic 45 Communique

Hello, Friends!  It’s time for another fabulous challenge at Frilly and Funkie!  This go round, the ever amazing Jenny is our hostess.  All Lined Up is the theme:

For this challenge you need to think in straight lines! Be it rows or columns, stripes or even grids make sure those vertical and/or horizontal lines are a clearly visible part of your vintage or shabby chic projects (the edges don’t count!)

Let's Chat Photo Card, Communique, by Kathy Clement for Frilly and Funkie All Lined Up Challenge, Product by Graphic 45, Photo 1I went vintage for this All Lined Up Challenge and turned to one of my all time favorite Graphic 45 collections: Communique.  The telephone line on this chipboard is what got the ball rolling. This 7″ x 5″ side fold card is all lined up thusly:

  • glittered, geometric grid chipboard
  • Lined patterened paper
  • flim strip ribbon
  • film strip chipboard
  • lined up buttons
  • lined up icons in border
  • lined paper used as leaves on my Petaloo flower

All Lined up on the inside, too!

OH. MY. GOSH!!! Your card is so amazingly beyond anything I have seen before. At first glance I thought it was a mini album, and it kind of is a cross between a card and a mini!! You were worried about this challenge, but you definitely pulled it off to perfection. There are vertical and horizontal lines EVERYWHERE! I love the Communique collection also. You make the G-45 papers look soooooooooo good!!
    Hugs,
    Nancy

Wow, this is a bonus project – a card and a mini album all rolled into one. I love this paper line because it has such a wonderful colour palette. Also loving all the fibres you added with the string and the flowers. Another gorgeous creation with lots of lines and grids.
    Hugs!

Another wonderful make, Kathy! Love the papers and, as always, how you’ve used them to perfection! The glittered grid in the background really plays into the theme, and I love this special touch. The filmstrip ribbon is also an embellishment that makes this so special for me. Your work is impeccable on this and everything you create! Hugs!

Ooooh, lines never looked so good! As always, your project is just spectacular. I love the colors in this Graphic 45 collection and this mini-album design works perfectly with the communication theme. That film strip ribbon is fabulous…and that black burlap Petaloo flower adds some extra pizazz!
