Amazing Paper Grace Summer Berries Box Card

Amazing Paper Grace Guest Designer Spot: Stamperia Provence Summer Berries Box Card

Hello, Friends!  Aaaaah, summer!  Today’s Guest Designer Post for Amazing Paper Grace is a Summer Berries Box Card.  Made with Spellbinder’s  APG Vintage Treasures Cannetille Rectangle Dies and Stamperia Provence  and Lilac Flowers papers, it as sweet and refreshing as a bowl of summer berrries with whipped cream on top.

This box style card looks complicated, but the cover comes together in a snap, thanks to these wonderful dies!  Here’s how I made it:

  • First, cut a 12″ x 6″ panel of cream cardstock.
  • Next, score on the long side at 2 3/4″ , 5 1/2″ and 6.
  • Fold to form a little booklet with a 1/2″ spine on the left.
  • Then fold the front cover back at the 2 3/4″ score line.
  • Line all the panels with Stamperia Provence Paper.
  • Die cut the Cannetille Rectangle from Whip Cream Cardstock.
  • Now use just the outer frame of the die to cut out a panel of the Provence paper and adhere behind the die cut layers.  Leave the center open.

The floral cluster is made with a mix of purple flowers and berries that I had in my stash.  Tie it all together with some Elderberry Seam Binding Ribbon and a pretty little button.

Ooh la la!  Look at all the lovely papers tucked inside this pretty card!  I’ve created a box pocket to hold some lovely treats.  You can find a tutorial for that HERE.

Dress up the little gift packages inside the pocket with the center medallion from the Cannetille Rectangle Dies, a button and a half pearl.   You can write a note on the back of the journal card, too.  I’ve wrapped up a little package of British Tea Cream Cookies and a honey stick with papers from the collection.  Then I tucked in a color matched tea bag and one of my precious vintage Italian Demitasse spoons to complete the gift package. This is such a pretty way to present a gift.

I’m having such fun playing with these Vintage Treasures Dies!  They fit my style to a “T”.  Did I share some tips, tricks and ideas that you can use in your own crafty adventures today?  If so, I’d love to hear from you in the comment section below.

Love the color purple, and this card makes it even more my favorite color.

OMG, Kathy! What a fantastic card you have designed! Your creations are absolutely inspired! And what a wonderful gift this would make. I love the card/gift idea because it’s so personal and shows that something was created from the heart. These two Stamperia collections are absolutely gorgeous and a couple of my favorites. The Vintage Treasures die is breathtaking and those flowers and ribbon on the front actually reminded me of a beautiful corsage. And as always the treasures found inside are a delight! Thank you for sharing this amazing card! Hugs!

Oh-me-o-my-o, this is so beautiful, Kathy. I love, love, love the colors and flowers. I think I’ve shared with you that I make a kind of community outreach card called “Group Hug” cards and I’m always on the lookout for cards with pockets to tuck our little love notes into. This card is perfect for that! To top it all off, you are making such gorgeous use of Becca’s dies!
    Thank you, thank you!

Oh Wow!!! This is another most beautiful card! Those lilac papers, with those gorgeous flowers and luv that ribbon color and name! Elderberry ….(homemade jelly is my favorite!) Lol! Okay why do we fold back the front piece 2 3/4″ ? Do we glue it to close up or is a secret place for a sentiment? …or is that the part where I’m supposed to leave the center open? Hmmm? Hugs, Suzy Q
