As Many as You Can Card Challenge with Prima Cherry Sweet: A Use Your Scraps Episode
Hello, Friends! Our fun tutorial for this Wonderful Wednesday is this “As Many as You Can Card Challenge” with Prima Cherry Sweet. If you are not familiar with “as many as you can” let me explain:
Are you overwhelmed with piles of itty bitty pieces of beautiful, expensive designer paper? This is an issue we all face, right? But what if I could show you a quick and easy way to create beautiful, textured, embossed card fronts using those cast off pieces of paper? Would you be interested? Then stand by, my friends! Today I’m going to show you how I created 3 lovely cards and one pretty tag using this technique.
Faux Quilting Technique
Just look at this beautiful vintage card background. It takes just minutes to create from paper scraps. Follow that up with some easy stitching on your sewing machine (optional…but the results are amazing!) and a trip through your die cutting machine with a 3-D embossing folder. Brush with a little Distress Oxide Ink, spritz lightly with water and you’ve got a gorgeous start for a shabby chic card! I’ll show you how in today’s video tutorial.
Piles of Ephemera?
If you’re anything like me, you probably also have piles of pretty ephemera pieces left over from your favorite paper collections. Would you like to learn how to use these to create gorgeous embellishments on your cards? We’re going to whittle down that pile in today’s tutorial, too.
Hidden Paperclip Bookmark!
What if you could use those scraps to create a gorgeous birthday card? Of course, if there’s a birthday, you really “need” a pretty little something to tuck inside. So I’m going to show you how to create a brand new style of hidden paperclip bookmark today. It’s so easy…and the results are just lovely!
Happy Little Tag
Finally, we’ll create a happy little tag using these same bits and bobs. The great thing about tags is they can be made in a jiffy. Use them as gift tags, card inserts, or even a little home decor piece!

If you’d like to learn these fun techniques, then I hope you’ll grab a cuppa and a snack and join me for the tutorial over on my YouTube channel.
Believe it or not, after making this stack of goodies, I had just enough left over to create a darling little tag mini album. I’m putting the finishing touches on it now, and will do a project share with you once it is finished.
Next week we’ll start working with a new paper collection from Stamperia called “Family”. It’s just delightful, and we’ll have lots of fun with it, I’m sure.
You can find a linked supply list below this post, as well as tagged products within the video tutorial.
Thanks so much for stopping by, ,friends!
Cheerio,

Well, that prompted me to get out the stamperia silent sea scraps and now they are ready for stitching! Usually they went in the bin due to lack of space, not anymore after watching your clever use of leftovers. Love those butterflies Kathy, they are delicate and pretty, the perfect embellies for these papers. I am also very happy to hear of your steady improvements. Finding the right health practioners is the key, good luck!
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your creations. So glad you are feeling better.
So beautiful, Kathy! You sure have an eye for what goes together!
Love what you have made! I am definitely going to use your tips for using up scraps as I certainly have plenty of leftover paper collections. Hope all is going well with your recovery.
