Authentique Calendar Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Folio

Authentique Calendar Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Folio

Hello, Friends!  It’s my favorite season of the year: the thankful season!  Today I’m sharing  a lovely little Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Folio made with Authentique Paper’s brand new Calendar Collection.  It’s my contribution to the Group Post over on the Authentique Blog.

Authentique Calendar Collection November Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Folio by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design

This little 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ folio is tiny, but mighty!  Thanks to the double z-fold design, there’s loads of room to add paper pretties, photos, and journaling entries inside.

There are 10 panels on this card, making it the perfect vehicle for the new Calendar Collection.  I love the fact that the collections come with color matched cardstock so that you have everything you need to make a beautiful card, folio, or layout.  It’s amazing!

Double Z Fold cards are super easy to make!  You can find a tutorial for making the base HERE.

You have to love the fact that these cards open out to a width of over 19″!  Wouldn’t that be pretty on your Thanksgiving buffet table?

Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Folio: What’s in the Pocket?

Of course, I added a pocket to the folio!  Don’t I add a pocket to everything?  It’s kind of my signature move!  This one is made with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ panel of kraft cardstock. Score it at 4 1/4, 8 1/2″ and then trim and fold to form a little pocket inside.

Tuck some tags and paper pretties into the pockets.

TIP:  Die cut a little decorative piece for the pocket flap.  Then use the negative cut as a second pocket.  Back the empty space where the label was with designer paper, then adhere the sides and bottom.  Instant tea bag pocket, and oh, so cute!

Grateful Heart Thanksgiving Folio: The Flip Side

Don’t forget to decorate the flip side of this folio!  You have lots of room to decorate.  Use the center panel as a photo spot.  Just be sure to adhere only the bottom edge of the little sentiment panel to the card base.  Then the photo can be tucked behind it.

And don’t forget to add a spot to write down those precious memories or a special greeting.  This lightly distressed panel is the perfect spot for that!

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving with all the smells of Fall. Pumpkin pie, cinnamon, turkey roasting and all the other things that make up the day. Thankful for another day and to be able to enjoy it. Sun is shining but very crisp outside. Frost on the roofs tell me that.
Great folio Kathy, the cover is full of seasonal things, love the image 🙂

Kathy, this is one of the prettiest Thanksgiving folios ever! I’m seriously having to rethink not buying anymore paper. LOL I just love this beautiful collection. The front of the folio is absolutely gorgeous with that little girl image and of course your pretty buttons and flowers. In fact all of the images, especially the children bringing in the harvest, are so heartwarming. Also I’m loving this Z fold design because it allows the use of so many of the pretty papers. I’m wondering if this design could somehow be used for the 12 days of Christmas? Thank you for sharing this gorgeous beauty AND as always for making the video with tips and tricks! Hugs!
