Authentique Cottontail Easter Basket in a Box Card
Hello, Friends! Let’s get ready for Easter with an Easter Basket in a Box Card! The holiday will no doubt be different this year, but we can share the joy of the season via the mail. I’ve used Authentique’s Cottontail collection to create this sweet box style card and it’s so cute, even the Easter Bunny approves!

Cottontail Easter Basket in a Box Card: A Closer Look
Start with a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ box card folio base. You can find a tutorial for the base HERE. Then dress it up with pretty pink flowers, ribbons, and Easter embellishments. You’ll hear all the details in the video tour below, so I won’t bore you with them here. I’ll just share the pretty photos with a few comments.
Color a resin bunny with Distress ink, then heat emboss with Seth Apter Dirty Sand Embossing Powder. Then rub some of the embossing off with your finger to create fake fur. The wee nest is made with burlap, twine and Spanish Moss.
Dress up the spine with a bunny key and carrot buttons.
The inside is filled with all sorts of fun interactive elements.
And here’s the “Easter Basket” and a sweet little pull out folio.
“Gift wrap” your treats with paper from the collection. Who wouldn’t love to receive an Easter Basket like this in the mail?

Always enjoy seeing your creations with this box card design, Kathy. This set of papers is as delightful as the Imagine set for Easter projects. I just may have to get this one for next year’s creations–planning ahead (it’s an excuse to buy more paper!). What I especially like is that after the goodies are gone, there’s still a wonderful space for photos, journaling and even storing a bit of Easter memorabilia for some holiday home decor next Easter. tfs-Hugs. Hi Kathy! I LOVE this box card. Not only is it decorated so beautifully with your bunny embellishments and flowers but this design allows you to use so many of the the different papers.
