Ooh la la!  Don’t you just love the shabby chic vintage vibe of this Authentique Glamour paper collection?   This little 5″ square card is loaded with fun, interactive features.  I had such fun making it, that I decided right on the spot to make a second one to share in a tutorial.

TIP: Score a 1/2″ spine into your card base design.  This way, the card will fold neatly over the dimensional brake for the easel mechanism.  I’ll show you how to do this in the video tutorial below.

You all know how much I  love my pockets.  So why not create a shaped pocket on the front of this card, then tuck in a little art tag?

Cover a G45 Ivory Square Tag quickly and easily by using the Square Tag and Clock Die to cut the liner.  I’ve actually used 3 separate dies here.  In addition to the Square Tag Die, I created a peek a boo layer with a Tim Holtz Mixed Media 2 Die.  The pretty laurel wreath die is a favorite from Spellbinders.   Light Blue Sheer Organza Ribbon with a Satin Center is topped with Silver Metallic String and a cameo button from my stash.  And Little Birdie Flowers (from AC Moore Crafts) add the perfect finishing touch.

The back side of the tag is decorated, too.

The stopper for this card doubles as an interior pocket.  You will learn how to add this feature in the video tutorial as well.

Can’t go wrong with blue, right? Your design is awesome with all the bits of embellishments that come together so well in such a small card. This Authentic set reminds me a little of G45’s Portrait of a Lady. I just used up the last of mine so this set is going to be next on my paper wish list. Thanks for sharing this fabulous card and incredibly helpful tutorial, Kathy. I always learn so much.

And to be an easel card with a g45 tag in a pocket! Wow!!! I believe it was your easel card for Easter with the little girls that caught my eye …a year ago! Kathy, this is such a gorgeous card and tag! I love those blues!! I really like the way you put the tag in a pocket on the front, what a clever idea. Of course your embellishments and ribbons are so perfect as usual. What a great collection this is, so romantic and Victorian looking. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful tutorial.
