Authentique Love Notes Itty Bitty Mini Album : Valentine’s Day Week on the Authentique Blog
Hello, Friends! Don’t you just love Valentine’s Day? I’m helping my Authentique Paper teammates celebrate this sweet holiday with this Love Notes Itty Bitty Mini Album. It’s my inspiration piece for Valentine’s Day Week over on the Authentique Blog. You’ll want to be sure to check the blog out today, Wednesday and Friday as we will have special Valentine’s Day treats for you!
Love Notes Itty Bitty Mini Album
While cleaning out the Closet of Shame, I ran across this adorable 5″ x 4 1/4″ chipboard and canvas album from Maya Road. I have no idea when or where I purchased it…or perhaps it was a gift. But as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to pair it up with the Authentique Love Notes Collection. First, I wrapped the canvas cover with Pink Zebra Ribbon to serve as the closure. Next, I layered designer paper onto the canvas cover, leaving a 1/4″ margin all the way around the perimeter. Then, I created a layered panel for my fussy cut focal image, added some velvet heart brads and a few teeny tiny embellishments. Finally, I heat embossed the Reneabouquets heart frame with Wow Vintage Pink Embossing Glitter and created the shaker element.
TIP: When you can’t spread out, go up. This small cover didn’t give me a lot of room for extra layers and images. But I still created a sense of depth and dimension by adding chipboard and foam tape to the back of the elements. Also, try fussy cutting the elements when you are creating a focal image for a small space. The 3″ x 4″ image card looked awkward on this cover. But once it was fussy cut, it fit perfectly.
Love Notes Itty Bitty Mini Album: The Spine Treatment
You wouldn’t think that this wide, bold ribbon would work with this itty bitty album, but it does! I love the way it looks wrapped around the spine. Tie a simple square knot at the top. Then attach bangles with a looped safety pin. Top with a cluster of flowers, and you are good to go!

What a nice wake-up on this rainy morning in Southern Cal! Itching to get home to my craft room, but hey..the San Diego Bay in front of me and the ocean to my left!

Kathy, what a precious mini album! Authentique is , hands down, my favorite Valentine paper this year. Just look at those darling images! So nostalgic. Reminds me of when I was young and we traded little Valentine cards in school. Your bows, flowers, charms and that shaker frame are just beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
Kathy, this is ADORABLE! You never cease to amaze me with your layers. I must thank you for the inspiration — I have several little chipboard albums knocking around, and hadn’t decided what to do with them! Have a wonderful week, and thank you for starting mine off with such lovely eye candy!
