Authentique Lovestruck Sassy Valentine Card Folio with Handmade Flower
Hello, Friends! Valentine’s Day is such a lovely holiday! Who doesn’t love a day that’s all about love, friendship, card swapping, flowers and chocolate? But Valentine’s don’t always have to be sweet, do they? This Authentique Lovestruck Sassy Valentine Card Folio is lots of fun, too!
This is a 5″ x 7″ top fold card base with a 1/2″ spine. And don’t you just love this sassy sentiment? Never mind love…I’d rather fall in chocolate!
I love the red and aqua color combo, too. That aqua paper really makes the bow cluster pop! Scarlet Checkerboard Satin Ribbon is on the bottom, and Random Hearts and Confetti Grosgrain Ribbon is on top.
The handmade flower on this card is fussy cut from Lovestruck 5, which is an all over doily image page. I just cut out several doilies, then trimmed out the layers, shaped them with my ball stylus and stacked them together with hot glue. Vintage buttons play a big role in this card. I’ve used them in the flower center and down the right hand side of the card.
Lovestruck Sassy Valentine Card Folio: There’s a party on the inside!
The inside of this card folio really is ready to party!
Use your scraps to create a little chocolate wallet, then dress it up with images from the 6×6″ Lovestruck Paper Bundle. The belly band is also made from scraps and decorated with a sticker from the Lovestruck Sticker Sheet.
The chocolate wallet is just the right size to hold an individually wrapped Ghiradelli Chocolate treat. Because, it’s Valentine’s Day people! Time to break out the chocolate!
The Be Mine banner is also made from stickers. It adds a fun party feel to the card. And wait til you see what’s in the pocket!
How fun is this Valentine tag? I’ve dressed up a Graphic 45 Ivory Staples Tag with papers from the 6″ x 6″ Bundle. Then I added stickers, crepe paper trim and a felt heart embellishment. The heart is made with Tammy Tutterow’s Prim Hearts, Posie Parts and Bitty Posies Dies.
People often ask me, “What do you do with a tag?” I have tags looped over cabinet pulls to brighten up a room. They are great to display in an office cubicle, and fabulous to tie on a gift. They make great bookmarks, are a fun addition to a mantel display and you can write a greeting on the back. That’s just a few of the fun things you can do with tags!
I hope this Lovestruck Sassy Valentine Card folio has sparked your inspiration. I’ll be back on Wednesday with some Lovestruck Valentine Ideas for the Kids.
Thanks for stopping by!

Absolutely, Kathy; as much as I love my man, I think there’s always a place for “sassy” Valentine’s cards…. I’m just not the “mushy-gushy” type. This card is perfect, just like ALL of your projects! Thank you for another gem!
