Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Announcement and Autumn Wildflowers Card
Hello, Friends! I have a bit of news and a lovely Autumn Wildflowers Card to share with you today. I’m pleased as punch to let you know that after a summer of filling guest designer spots on the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts blog, I’ve been asked to officially join the team. Hooray! I’m looking forward to sharing tips and techniques for working with fabulous GSL chippies twice a month. Now, let’s get down to business and see what kind of mixed media I have for you today!
Growing up in Vermont, Queen Anne’s Lace used to grow wild along the roadside. I have always thought it was the most beautiful of all wildflowers. When I found these lovely Queen Anne’s Lace chips in my DT box, I was thrilled! Immediately, I knew I wanted to alter them with Distress Paints and Embossing Enamel.
After treating them to a mixed media beauty regimen, I combined them them with these Authentique Harvest papers.
To add lots of texture to the composition, I used Burnt Rust Seam Binding Ribbon, novelty buttons, machine stitching and layers of pretty papers make this card special.
Finally, I used a leftover piece of Queen Anne’s Lace to make a little bookmark for the inside of the card.

Now, you can learn how I altered this gorgeous chipboard used in this Autumn Wildflowers Card from this Snapguide tutorial.
To quote Anne of Green Gables, “I’m so glad we live in a world where there are Octobers!”
Thanks for stopping by!
