Beach Themed Slimline Folio Tutorial with Spellbinders and Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Friends!  It’s Wildcard Wonderful Wednesday and I have a quick and easy Beach Themed Slimline Folio Tutorial to share with you.  It’s officially beach season here in North Carolina,.  Hooray!  Spellbinders Paper Arts sent me some samples of their gorgeous new Bayfair Collection to get me in a great beachy mood.  And, I invited some Really Reasonable Ribbon products to the beach party, too.

This slimline folio measures 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ with a 1″ spine.  Because it is super quick and easy to make, it’s perfect for gift giving.  It’s also loaded with room for photos, journaling and memory keeping, so it’s a great way to capture memories of your family beach trip this year.

Spellbinders Bayfair Collection

I gave you a sneak peek of this fun, fresh collection in yesterday’s post.  There’s something about these papers that keeps me coming back for more. I can’t wait to share all the details with you in my video tutorial below.

My ribbon closure for this little wonder is one of my favorites from RRR.  Navy/Ivory/Gold Plaid Ribbon looks fabulous with this paper collection.  I also tucked a little Pink and White Baker’s Twine into the mix, and I love the fresh pop of color underneath my vellum flower button.

A Peek Inside

Today’s Wild Card Wednesday tutorial is rich with tips, techniques and ideas to help  get your crafty little fingers itching to play with pretty papers and ribbons!  You’ll learn my quick and easy method for making slash pockets in the video tutorial.

And, I’ll show you how to transform a single sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper into a really fun pull out element with just a couple of quick score lines.

A short flap is easily transformed into a lovely little tag pocket.  You’ll love this trick, and will want to use it all the time once you know how.  And if you need a refresher course on making a kinetic waterfall mechanism, we’ll go over how to make them again in this jam-packed tutorial.

Tags are the perfect pocket accessory, don’t  you agree?  These are quick and easy to make thanks to a lovely Spellbinder die set and postage stamp ephemera from the Bayfair Collection.
