Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge: Beautiful Autumn Colors
Hello, Ribbon Lovers! Are you ready for fall? I sure am! The good folks at Really Reasonable Ribbon are anticipating the season with a new Autumn Colors Challenge. I cracked open my brand new Authentique Harvest papers to create this Beautiful Autumn Colors card.
This is a 7″ x 5″ top fold card. The belly band is made with my favorite Antique Gold Faux Burlap Wired Edge ribbon and Arianna Crocheted Lace.
The bow cluster has a base of Sheer Iridescent Copper Organza topped with die cut leaves, a Natural Burlap String Bow, Petaloo berry picks and a hand colored DIY Petaloo Flower.
Look at all this yummy texture!
A metal maple leaf was tapped with copper alcohol ink, as were the metal corners. The sentiment tag is topped with more die cut leaves, Iridescent Copper Ribbon and a pair of tiny acorns.
There’s a glassine bag inside that I embossed and inked up. It’s topped with some custom dyed seam binding ribbon, just for fun.
Now it’s your turn! Work up a project using Beautiful Autumn Colors and ribbon and link it up over at the RRR Challenge Blog. I can’t wait to see what you make.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Kathy,
what a very super autumnal card, and I love everything you created on this.
Such wonderful colours and textures also, and that flower is beautiful.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Lovely, lovely, lovely!!! The colors and textures are just gorgeous. I can almost smell those autumn leaves burning in the cool, crisp breeze! This is a beauty! Thanks for the inspiration, Kathy!
Hugs,
Kris
Hi Kathy, I dearly love this autumn card, it is so full of the brilliant fall colors which I love. Those are magnificent flowers and bow. not much in-favor of the second one. actually I first thought it was the inside of the first card, and that you had placed tea, or apple cider. ….have a good week-end and a safe one, hope the rain hasn’t hit you, like so many others have.
Hugs, Pattie
Kathy,
Your card is the picture of autumn! It makes me feel like getting cozy with a mug of hot cider! It is beautiful in every way!
Hugs,
Nancy
Ohh Kathy, they’re lovely. The first one is breath-taking. So vibrant, rich and sumptious. The second one is quieter, more reserved, as if made for a gentleman. Not just a man, but a gentleman. (There’s a subtle difference). lol
I love them both, but if I were forced to make a decision I’d choose the first one, simply because those colours are the ones I associate with the season. Fabulous Makes, my friend.
